I just overheard a conversation between the two loves of my life. The elder said, “Color inside the lines, if you can.” The younger said, “Yes, sir.” That lead me to thinking. We teach our children to carefully color inside the lines, then when they’re older and stressed and working too hard (or sometimes even before that) we tell then to think outside the box and “color outside the lines”. I even have a pair of pajamas that preaches this unorthodox type of artwork. It’s interesting, isn’t it?
